This painting has been in my personal collection because it brings me back to an adventurous time in life with a side of weirdness. I was in Germany at an outside bistro with a friend. Out of the sky dropped half of a bird onto the bistro umbrella. There was no airplane, helicopter or any reasonable explanation of what had caused half of a bird to fall. Of course, I had to paint the experience.
