Sam Sartorius has spent decades setting up studios in fascinating locations all over the world. Immersion of a new culture, an unfamiliar lifestyle or landscape can be an eye opening experience which provides a platform for exploration, education and adventure. One of her favorite adventures was eight months in the Czech Republic at the Egon Schiele Art Centrum. A tiny castle town where her studio was situated along the Vltva River in a hundred year old brewery. There was also three months in China studying art at the Hunan Normal University. Numerous trips to Vermont working in the Berkshires, a month in Vienna, two months in Soho, New York. The list is extensive. Currently, Sam’s studio is nestled out in the country north of Houston, Texas.
